For the training of intensive care nurses, the university hospitals in Baden-Württemberg have decided on a joint procedure with the working title "Model Project 3+1".
After completing the 3-year generalist training in healthcare and nursing, an additional year of training can be completed to specialize in intensive care nursing. The prerequisite for this is the "intensive specialization", which is achieved by providing proof of 350 hours of work in the intensive care setting of a university hospital during the training. Apart from Baden-Württemberg, no other federal state in Germany currently offers this opportunity.
At theUMM in Mannheim, the first Plus 1 Intensive course will start in October this year. There is a demand for this course, as it is already full. Anyone looking for a training place today should take a closer look at our information page "Modellprojekt 3+1" for orientation. The offer is definitely a reason to do your training in Mannheim.
