We are delighted to welcome you as new employees at the University Medical Center Mannheim GmbH!
This year's welcome event will take place on October 05, 2023 from 08:30 to 12:00 in House 6, Lecture Hall 01.
At the beginning of the welcome event, the management, the Deputy Medical Director and the Director of Nursing as well as the Head of Human Resources, the Director of the Academy and the Scientific Director of the Faculty will welcome you and present their respective contents, participants and activities.
After a short coffee break, you will have the opportunity to choose a combination of two of three parallel offerings in order to gain as many impressions of the UMM as possible.
- Marketplace: Other departments, such as Hospital Hygiene, the Company Doctor, Corporate Communications and many others will be presenting themselves on the marketplace. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can talk to the employees responsible for the respective areas at market stalls and find out about their field of activity and content.
- UMMguided tour: During the UMM guided tour, you will walk through all the important locations on the UMM site together with an expert and receive useful information for your everyday life at the hospital. The stations include the laundry, the cafeteria and the HR department.
- Lecture: As digitalization will accompany you in your work in the future, we would like to present the advantages of using digital patient files from the perspective of the medical service, nursing and administration.

Round 2 of the parallel program will be followed by a joint closing of the event, which will be followed by lunch and socializing in the Casino (the UMM canteen).
