Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to introduce the "Nursing Journal Club", a new event for nurses at the UMM. The Nursing Journal Club offers dedicated nurses the opportunity to come together every 8 weeks to discuss current study results. Our main goal is to continuously improve clinical nursing practice through scientific exchange and joint analysis of relevant research findings.
The idea behind the Nursing Journal Club is simple but extremely effective:
participants have the opportunity to learn scientific methods and deepen their existing knowledge in nursing. We then use this knowledge to critically question established practices and introduce innovative approaches into nursing practice.
The success of the Nursing Journal Club is based above all on the active participation of the participating nursing professionals. Through the lively exchange of experience and expertise, the enormous potential of the Journal Club is quickly unleashed. Study results are discussed together and can be applied in the context of nursing practice. This practical approach ensures a high level of relevance and contributes to the practicability of the knowledge gained.
Participation in the Nursing Journal Club is open to all UMM nursing staff. Simply register at pflegeentwicklung@umm.de with the subject"Nursing Journal Club" to take part in the meetings. However, spontaneous visits are also very welcome, as we focus on open exchange. Questions relating to daily professional practice can also be discussed.
In summary, it can be said that the Nursing Journal Club is a promising method of linking nursing science and practice. The scientifically sound approach and the close link to practice create a win-win situation for everyone involved. We are looking forward to the upcoming meetings and are excited to introduce more innovative ideas into nursing practice.
