Conditions of participation and payment (AGB)

for aroma nursing courses at the University Hospital Mannheim, conducted by the Nursing Development Department

The provider is Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH.

I PREREQUISITES

Our courses are primarily aimed at people from the healthcare sector, unless otherwise described, and can therefore only be booked by these groups of people.

II REGISTRATION FOR EVENTS

Course registration should be made as early as possible. Please register in writing (by post/fax/e-mail) or digitally on the website www.pflege-umm.de or www.umm.de.

Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. Written registration is required. By registering, you accept these conditions of participation and payment. After successfully registering for the course, you will receive a digital, written booking confirmation from the University Medical Center Mannheim. Your booking is then binding. UniversitätsklinikumMannheim GmbH reserves the right to cancel participants or the course and thus terminate the contract.

III EVENT FEES and TERMS OF PAYMENT

The prices stated on the website www.pflege-umm.de or www.umm.de at the time of booking apply.

You will receive a written invoice together with your booking confirmation for the selected course. The participation fee is due 30 days before the start of the course and will be invoiced accordingly in writing. We do not grant any discounts. All prices in euros are gross prices including VAT. If payment is not made by the start of the course, participation may be canceled by the University Hospital Mannheim. A reminder fee of EUR 10 will be charged.

The reminder can be sent 14 days after the due date of payment.

IV WITHDRAWAL FROM EVENTS

(1) CANCELLATION OF COURSES

You can withdraw from the contract at any time. Cancellations of courses will only be accepted in writing (by post, fax or e-mail).

Cancellation is free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the course. Cancellations from 29 days to the start of the course are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the course fee.

This also applies if the registered participant does not show up on the day of the course.

If you do not make full use of the course, you will not be entitled to a refund for the unused portion. These cancellation conditions also apply in the event of illness.

(2) CANCELLATIONS AND RESERVATIONS REGARDING CHANGES TO EVENTS

The University Hospital Mannheim reserves the right to cancel courses with too few participants up to 28 days before the start of the course and to offer alternative dates if necessary.

If the course is canceled due to illness of the course instructor, force majeure or other events, there is no entitlement to the course being held. In all cases, the course fee will be refunded immediately or the participant can rebook free of charge. There is no further entitlement to compensation for travel and accommodation costs or loss of earnings. We reserve the right to change dates and locations or swap course instructors.

V RETENTION OF TITLE AND USE OF TEACHING MATERIALS

Course-related workbooks or documents etc. will be made available to you in digital or printed form. Seminar/course documents are subject to copyright. They may not be reproduced at any time or under any circumstances. They are intended for the personal use of course participants only. We reserve unrestricted ownership of all teaching materials until all payment obligations have been met in full by the participant. The passing on to third parties or public distribution or making available of course documents or teaching materials is not permitted. In particular, the publication of audio or video data, digital presentations or scripts on publicly accessible internet portals is prohibited.

VI INVALID PROVISIONS

Should any of the above provisions be or become invalid, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless remain valid. The validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

VII DATA PROTECTION

The protection of participants' personal data is very important to us. Insofar as the University Hospital Mannheim collects or processes personal data of the participants in the context of the contractual activity, this is done exclusively in accordance with the data protection regulations, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

VIII House rules

The house rules and the hygiene plan of Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH apply when conducting the courses and in particular when entering the premises of Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH.

IX APPLICABLE LAW, PLACE OF JURISDICTION, CONTRACTUAL LANGUAGE,

DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEDURE, PARTIAL INVALIDITY

(1) German law shall apply.

(2) The place of jurisdiction is Mannheim, insofar as a place of jurisdiction can be effectively agreed.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL for consumer contracts

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons, provided that the participant making the booking is a consumer and the event has not yet taken place.

The withdrawal period is then fourteen days from the date of conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH, Department of Nursing Development,

You can use a sample withdrawal form (e.g. www. verbraucherzentrale.de/sites/default/files/2020-12/Musterbrief%20Onlinekauf-Widerruf%20PS5.pdf), but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment.
