Palliative care
In contrast to curative therapy, palliative care is not aimed at curing the disease, but at alleviating distressing symptoms and maintaining and improving quality of life as much as possible.
Specialized outpatient palliative care
With our palMA network, we support people with a progressive, incurable illness.
The special outpatient palliative care supports you in being able to spend the last phase of your life well cared for in familiar surroundings or to find other options.
A wide range of professional groups and institutions work hand in hand as partners in our network: people suffering from a progressive, incurable illness have a legal entitlement to special outpatient palliative care (SAPV § 37b and § 132 SGB V).
The Mannheim palMA palliative network supplements the existing nursing and ensures that the special services are available continuously and around the clock.
Our offer of help

... provides palliative medical and nursing care in close coordination with the family doctors and other attending physicians.
... coordinates the necessary services in order to ensure seamless nursing adapted to the respective situation.
... offers its patients integrated in the network a continuous 24-hour on-call service and is there to support them in crisis situations.

We support and accompany people in their final phase of life. Health insurance companies and health insurers only cover basic nursing.
In addition, there are always "last wishes" to be fulfilled, purchases to be made for the team's work or further training for our employees.
