Ward 30 - 2

Patients from infancy to young adulthood are cared for on the two pediatric surgery wards 30 - 2 and 31 - 2.
Pediatric surgery treats children with surgical, urological and orthopaedic conditions. It also treats patients with hand/foot deformities and scalds/burns.

The wards have 30 beds in two-bed rooms. If the occupancy situation permits, single-bed rooms can also be selected. An accompanying person can also be admitted and will be cared for on the ward.

Our paediatric surgery wards are characterized by individual and comprehensive nursing care, empathy, social competence and a sense of responsibility on the part of all staff. The involvement of parents in the nursing and treatment of their children is a high priority.

There is a playroom in the pediatric surgery department. Children can be looked after by a nursery nurse at certain times. Children of compulsory school age can be taught at the bedside by teachers from the hospital school. Questions or problems? We can help you here!

 

 

The Children's Center (KiZ) of the University Medical Center Mannheim bundles the conservative and surgical treatment of children at one location. The clinics benefit not only from shared facilities such as the children's emergency room or the intensive care unit, but also from short distances in cooperation and professional exchange.
