Ward 1 - 34

Our Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery is one of the largest university ENT clinics in Germany. The range of services offered includes general and conservative ENT medicine as well as a wide range of surgical therapies. These include, for example, paranasal sinus and skull base surgery or microsurgery of the ear, including the implantation of cochlear implants in adults and children.

The focus of our clinic is on surgical tumor therapy with its many possibilities. In particular, the nursing of highly complex reconstructive tumor operations of the head and neck area as well as nasal, paranasal sinus and skull base surgery reflect the full extent of the interdisciplinary team's expertise.

Ward 1-34 has a total of 32 beds for the treatment of our patients. Focus areas: General ENT medicine, specialized tumour therapy and therapies for children.

Our multicultural team is constantly undergoing further training in order to meet our high standards of patient nursing. Every member of staff is given the opportunity to specialize and develop their own skills. The motivated team is made up of wound experts, practice instructors, kinaesthetic tutors, aroma nursing tutors, hygiene experts, quality and risk officers, palliative care nurses and oncology-trained specialists, among others.

Each patient at the ENT clinic receives individual nursing and support according to their age, needs and resources. We attach great importance to the self-promotion of patients in the form of competent advice and guidance.
What makes our work in this specialist area so interesting is the variety of cases that our patients present to us. Every day, we hold the hands of our youngest patients through to the 100-year-old hands of the oldest.
For the littlest ones, we are the colorful and cheerful nurses who are fun and hand out ice cream at all hours. For our cancer patients, we are the faces they can trust after a long operation. Who can guide them through tumor therapy with the best tips or with whom they can simply share their grief.

We accompany, treat and advise - but we also give hope, comfort, laugh and empathize.
