UMM - Developing nursing
This is us
As a staff unit, we, the Nursing Development Department at the UMM, are directly assigned to the Nursing Directorate. This makes us the extended arm of our Director of Nursing, so to speak, and we put her conceptual ideas into practice.
We are a team of qualified nursing professionals who work together with a nursing department head and are therefore responsible for the clinical area of this department.
That is our mission
Our core task is to prepare and implement nursing topics as well as current and future challenges in patient nursing in terms of quality and content in coordination with the nursing management.
We inform and advise the UMM nursing staff on how to carry out nursing activities effectively and sustainably in accordance with the latest scientific findings, so that nursing care is always provided at the highest level.
We also provide content and methodological support for projects. Nursing Development is also involved in internal training courses and supports the establishment of evidence-based nursing care through appropriate measures.
We are very active in ensuring that effective and scientific care can be provided.
These are our tasks
- Support in care process documentation with regard to economic, legal, quality and liability issues
- Support with the digitalization of care process documentation, teaching digital skills
- Implementation of practical support, (complex) case discussions
- Participation in the implementation of national expert standards
- Implementation and support of projects
- Implementation of audits
- Preparation and support for certification
- Supporting the provision of data sets for external quality assurance in accordance with Section 137 SGB V
- Preparation and provision of key figures
- Offering selected training courses on current and care-related topics at the UMM
