We, the central practical instructors from the University Medical Center in Mannheim, are a team of exempted nursing staff who look after the nursing trainees in practical training on a full-time basis. We come from a wide variety of disciplines and bring this experience to practical training. We enjoy mastering the challenges that we and our colleagues and trainees face in everyday nursing care together.
We see ourselves as a link between theory and practice. We are therefore the point of contact for the nursing team, the practical instructors on the wards, trainees and teachers at the nursing school.
This enables us to give our trainees and the nursing staff on site a good start and long-term support throughout their training. MIA and MICA Mannheim; our interprofessional training wards are the highlight and the crowning achievement of every trainee in their 3rd year of training and at the same time a very good preparation for practical work as a registered nurse.
Practice without theory is blind, theory without practice is ineffective (Immanuel Kant)
