We are delighted to welcome the new Director of Nursing, Rayk Oemus-Diehl, to Mannheim University Hospital. On May 15, he will take over from Yvonne Dintelmann and from now on head the nursing and functional area in our hospital.
This is the headline of the initiative of German university hospitals looking for people with an extraordinary, even "wacky" personality.
Anyone who "signs on" to an intensive care unit accepts a challenge; and from then on, this is a daily challenge, as it comes "free of charge in intensive care" as part of the workload.
So, if you enjoy learning new things and are helpful and empathetic, that's a good start. After all, it's always about people, their fates and the best possible chance of recovery. Support us in our daily work - apply now.
We are hiring.
Training as a generalist with "intensive" specialization?
Do you want to start your career in intensive care with Intensiv 365+?
Interprofessional training wards are areas that are embedded in existing wards and are run by trainees from the various professional groups in a hospital. In addition to nursing, this also includes, for example, doctors in their practical year, physiotherapists or other professional groups. Together they practise independent ward operations and are guided by experienced practical instructors.
The core idea is to use interprofessionalism and supervised self-organization to optimally prepare all professional groups involved for the day-to-day work ahead, to present all facets of patient treatment as clearly as possible, to better understand and implement the connection between theory and practice and to practice and promote communication between the professional groups. The aim is to ensure the highest quality of patient treatment through an optimal learning situation and to promote cooperation within the therapeutic team.
The interprofessional training wards are usually run under real conditions with real patients and a normal ward routine. The nursing trainees are accompanied throughout by a permanent team of central practice instructors. Find out how this has been implemented at the UMM so far and what the new surgical training ward looks like!
If you ask nursing professionals what nursing is, there is no simple, to-the-point answer. The answers are usually complex.
Incredible - Compassionate - Courageous
The UMM team doesn't just include the "white area" - it includes all of the clinic's employees. From the cleaner to the technician, the therapist, the administrator, the nurse, the doctors and many more. In nursing management, we at UMM are concerned with the nursing team in cooperation with other professional groups and UMM is concerned with each individual employee. On the wards and in the departments, the focus is on the team spirit of the therapeutic team, UMM working together to achieve the best result for the patient.
We communicate at eye level. There are always days when we do not succeed immediately - in this case we address the situation to UMM to learn from it and to continuously develop our clinic!
Become part of our team - we want to learn from each other and help you to develop and grow together with us.
