STATION MANAGEMENT
Dietmar Steinmüller
My name is Dietmar Steinmüller; together with Ms. Anja Ternes, I am the ward manager of 32-3, the surgical-anaesthesiological intensive care unit of the Clinic for Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care Medicine.
Our ward has 18 beds and is occupied by patients from the fields of surgery, trauma surgery, neurosurgery as well as ENT, gynecology and urology.
Our focus is on the treatment of patients with respiratory failure (ARDS) and the treatment of patients with severe sepsis.

CLINIC FOR ANESTHESIOLOGY
Intensive care unit | ECMO
As an ECMO center, we receive patients from other clinics who are connected to an extracorporeal circuit as part of a further therapy option. This makes it possible to replace lung function with equipment until the organ is able to function again.

The area of responsibility of the nursing staff working here is very diverse and, due to the different specializations, very interesting and varied. Nursing is an important pillar of the treatment team and works closely with the other professional groups.
We receive motivation and strength from patients and relatives, who always give us positive feedback - whether through words and pictures or by visiting us on the ward.
