Nursing and social counseling at Mannheim University Hospital is primarily based on the objectives of the public health service:

• Promotion of health
• Avoidance of illness (prevention)
• Development of health aids
• Protection of disadvantaged groups of people

Our information service is therefore open to all our patients, but is also specifically aimed at people with mental, physical or psychological impairments and people with chronic illnesses. 
We aim to be an information and contact point not only for those affected, but also for caregivers and relatives. We also provide general advice on support options in special life situations.
